Ferrari investigating possible protest over Vettel move

───   00:48 Thu, 29 Nov 2012

Ferrari wants to establish whether there is enough evidence to lodge a protest against Sebastian Vettel that, if successful, could overturn the result of the world championship.

Formula 1 team, Ferrari, wants to establish whether there is enough evidence to lodge a protest that, if successful, could overturn the result of the world championship.

Ferrari says in a statement the team is "evaluating footage" that appears to show Red Bull's Sebastian Vettel illegally overtaking another driver in last Sunday's Brazilian Grand Prix.

Ferrari’s Fernando Alonso lost the title by three points to Vettel after finishing second.

Governing body, the FIA, has refused to confirm whether it was investigating the alleged incident.
