Bloemfontein - A qualified tractor driver was killed in an accident while mowing the cricket field at the Bloemfontein campus of the Central University of Technology yesterday. CUT's director of communications and marketing, Dan Maritz described the death of 38-year old Mxolisi Wettes as a freak accident in view of the level of his qualifications and experience as a tractor driver. Wettes had worked for the CUT for 18 months and is originally from Dealesville. He was living in Bloemfontein with his wife and son. Maritz said an inquest docket has been opened.
