Free State Stars narrowed the gap between themselves and Premiership front-runners, Kaizer Chiefs, after a 1-nil win over Maritzburg United at the Charles Mopedi Stadium in Phuthaditjhaba last night.  Dove Wome struck late in the second half to hand Stars their eighth victory in 19 league matches this season.  The win sees them draw six points clear of Maritzburg, though they still have some work on their hands to catch the top three sides in the race - Kaizer Chiefs, Orlando Pirates and Platinum Stars.
