Johannesburg - Nine police officers accused of killing Mozambican taxi driver Mido Macia are due to appear in the Benoni Magistrate's Court today. Magistrate Sam Makamu denied the men bail on March 12, saying it was not in the interests of justice. Macia was filmed being tied to the back of a police van and dragged along a street in Daveyton, Soewto on February 26. He was found dead in the local police station's holding cells several hours later.
