Welkom - A Welkom woman has appeared in court for the alleged murder of her police officer husband. Free State police spokesperson, Steven Thakeng, said 34 year old Nthabeleng Mabaso was arrested on Monday and appeared in the Welkom Magistrates Court on Wednesday. The case was postponed to Friday next week for bail application. The body of captain Mabaso, from the Welkom Vehicle Identification and Safeguarding Unit, was found on November 19th last year at a park in St. Helena. Thakeng said more arrests are imminent.
