Kimberley - Northern Cape Premier Sylvia Lucas will address the province for the first time on Thursday with her provincial budget speech.

She was inaugurated in Kimberley yesterday. Lucas, the former MEC of Environmental Affairs and Nature Conservation, yesterday honoured her predecessor, Hazel Jenkins and thanked everyone who supported her.

Jenkins resigned on Tuesday as a result of ill heath.
