Proteas bat first - Chris Morris debuts

───   14:08 Mon, 10 Jun 2013

AB de Villiers won his second successive toss and elected to bat first in the Proteas’ second match of the ICC Champions Trophy against Pakistan at Edgbaston on Monday. Lions all-rounder, Chris Morris, makes his ODI debut after replacing the injured Morne Morkel in the squad.

Aaron Phangiso plays his second ODI for South Africa after making his debut against New Zealand in Potchefstroom earlier this year, and replaces Rory Kleinveldt to make up a strong spin attack.

The Proteas are still without Dale Steyn, who has failed to recover fully from a left side strain he sustained a week ago.

South Africa XI: AB de Villiers (CPT/WK), Colin Ingram, Hashim Amla, Faf du Plessis, JP Duminy, David Miller, Ryan McLaren, Chris Morris, Robin Peterson, Aaron Phangiso, Lonwabo Tsotsobe.

Morris is cap number 110 for South Africa.
