Bolt nominated for the World Athlete of the Year award

Bloemfontein -  World and Olympic 100 and 200 metre Champion, Usain Bolt, has been shortlisted as one of 10 athletes up for the prestigious IAAF World Athlete of the Year award.
 
Britain’s long distance runner, Mohammed Farah has also been named in the list of ten athletes. Both Bolt and Farah stole the show at the recent World Championships in Moscow, Russia.
 
Jamaican sprinter Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce and Ethiopian long distance stars Meseret Defar and Tirunesh Dibaba are the three most notable names among the 10 shortlisted woman’s athletes.
 
The lists will be cut from ten names to three before the winners are named at an IAAF ceremony on 16 November.
