Bloemfontein - South African paralympian Ernst van Dyk beat Australia's Kurt Fearnley by a second to win the 2013 Chicago Marathon men's wheelchair race.
By his own admission, Van Dyk said it was a tough race as he considers himself a “down-hill racer" instead of a flat racer.
Following the race, Van Dyk said he had to find a little something extra to win the cat-and-mouse game between himself and Fearnley.
Van Dyk who has won the Boston Marathon nine-times said his first Chicago Marathon win is something special.
