Bloemfontein - Argentina beat the South Africa men’s hockey team 4-2 in the first Test after leading 2-0 at half-time at Riverside Sports Club in Durban North yesterday.

Argentina took early control of the game when they scored through a Pedro Ibarra penalty corner in the fifth minute.

Facundo Callioni, Lucas Vila and Juan Martin Lopez all scored field goals for the South Americans while the Proteas scored field goals via the sticks of Craig Haley and Taine Paton.

The second test will be played this afternoon at Kearsney College, with the scheduled start at 16:00.

Sundays scheduled 4th Test has postponed until Monday afternoon in order to show respect for funeral service of late former South Africa president Nelson Mandela.
