Today, former president Nelson Mandela will be laid to rest in his ancestral home of Qunu in the Eastern Cape. Some 100 000 people visited the Union Buildings in Pretoria from Wednesday to Friday last week were the anti-apartheid icon’s body lay in state. Today’s funeral will be a private family affair, although thousands of people are expected to watch the two hour long public service to be held from 8 o’clock this morning. Sabrina Dean put together this special feature about Tata Madiba.
