Bloemfontein - The Belgium women’s hockey team have levelled the six-test series against South Africa at the Hartleyvale Stadium in Cape Town after beating the Proteas 2-0 in the second test last night.

Last night the world number twelves proved that they were better than their 6-0 loss on Sunday reflected.

The first half was a very open affair with both sides able to carve out goal scoring opportunities. However, at the half-time break the sides were deadlocked at 0-0.

Belgium’s Manon Simons broke the deadlock in the 61st minute, before scoring her brace a mere 4 minutes later to ensure the visitors of the win.

The third test in the series will be played on Friday at the Hartleyvale Hockey Stadium as well.
