Bloemfontein - Today sees the beginning of World Salt Week. A summit on salt reduction and consumption will be held in Sandton on Thursday, where key stakeholders will come together.

Bloemfontein dietician, Sonelle Vermeulen says all salt, vegetable, pink, black or sea salt will elevate blood pressure.

She praised the Minister of Health, Aaron Motsoaledi, who has propesed legislation which will see the reduction of salt levels in processed foods.
