Bloemfontein - Rangana Herath took five wickets for just three runs as Sri Lanka thumped the Black Caps of New Zealand by 59 runs to reach the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup.
The Kiwis’ bowled the team from the subcontinent out for just 119 runs and felt they had a sniff of reaching the play-offs.
Martin Guptil and Kane Williamson put on an 18-runs partnership before the Kiwis slumped to 33/6.
Williamson top scored for the Black Caps with 42, with the rest of his side scoring just 18 runs, including two extras as the y were bowled out for 60 runs.
Sri Lanka’s opponent in the semis will be decided today, while South Africa will face India in Mirpur.
