Bloemfontein - Kumar Sangakkara bowed out of the shortest format of cricket in fine style by smashing an unbeaten half-century to steer Sri Lanka to the T20 World Cup title.

Sri Lanka beat India by 6 wickets in the final in Mirpur after chasing down the 131 run target set by the Indians.
Virat Kohli maintained his sensational form scoring 77 of India 130 runs in 58 deliveries.

In the chase, Sangakkara smashing a blistering 52 of 35 balls, while fellow Sri Lanka legend, Mahala Jayawardene scored 24.

The Sri Lankans will return to Colombo smiling all the way to the bank with the knowledge of earning a million dollar bonus for shedding the “chokers” tag.
