Bloemfontein - Clayton Daniels, Bloemfontein Celtic skipper, said that as the season slowly but certainly approaches the end each remaining game becomes as equally vital as the three points.

Celtic picked up a 1-0 win over Pirates at the Free State Stadium in Bloemfontein on Monday and therefore, the team would be looking to keep the momentum going in their remaining matches.

“Credit to the team for the job well done. They fought and gave their best and it was a well-deserved victory,” Daniels said.

With two games remaining for Celtic before the season concludes, the former Sundowns and Ajax defender is upbeat about his sides' chances of maintaining the top eight spot.

“We just need to keep the focus and prepare for our next match. We will make sure we collect maximum points from our remaining home matches to maintain the top eight spot,” added Daniels.

A win was Celtic’s second league win over the Sea Robbers this season, having beaten them 3-2 in the first round played at Orlando Stadium in Soweto.

Celtic moved to the sixth spot, equal with the fifth-placed Buccaneers on 40 points. Siwelele will first host Ajax then Wits in their remaining matches.
