Harrismith - The case of a Malawian, accused of murdering a couple on a Harrismith guest farm has been postponed due to a language barrier.
Pharoah Mohne (32) was arrested for the murders of Brian and Tillie Pope which took place at the Tweevley Guest Farm over the weekend.
Free State Police spokesperson, Mmako Mophiring, says Mohne asked if he could have a translator who understands Chichewa, a native Malawian language.
Brian’s son, Warren, and his wife, Marlene, were attacked with a garden fork, but survived the incident.
The case will resume on May 6, when the availability of an appropriate translator would be made known.
Mohne remains in custody.
