Finance Minister bemoans 'vote no' campaign─── 11:20 Thu, 24 Apr 2014
Pretoria - Finance Minister Pravin Gordhan says he strongly disagrees with former intelligence minister Ronnie Kasrils's call for South Africans to spoil their votes in the upcoming general elections.
He says while he has huge respect for the role the ANC stalwart played in making South Africa a democratic country, he should find a different approach to raise his concerns.
Gordhan says the call to give up one of the fundamental rights that was fought for during the apartheid era is simply wrong.
The "Sidikiwe Vukani! Vote No" campaign calls on South Africans to either vote for a minority party, or spoil their ballots.
