Bloemfontein - The Stormers Super Rugby campaign has been dealt a further blow, with the news that they will be without the services of Springbok lock, Eben Etzebeth, for the remainder of the competition.
The physical lock broke his toe during training with the Cape Town franchise yesterday afternoon.
The players latest injury setback will also dent the Springboks preparations, as they start looking ahead at The Rugby Championship.
With Bulls lock, Flip van der Merwe, side-lined for the rest of the season, Bok coach Heyneke Meyer would have been hoping the player would get some game time in the Super Rugby.
Etzebeth is expected to be side-lined for up to 3 weeks.
The Stormers face the Bulls are Newlands on Saturday evening at 17:05.
