Team South Africa will be arriving back in the country on Tuesday from the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.
The team will be arriving back after winning 10 medals in all for their most successful Olympic campaign to date.
Wayde van Niekerk and Caster Semenya won South Africa’s only golds at the games, but the team still achieved their target of 10 medals.
Semenya won the team’s last medal when she won the woman’s 800m in a time of 1 minute 55.28 seconds.
The South African track star says she is proud of all the hard work put in by Team South Africa to reach their goal.
Although South Africa won just two gold and two silver in the track and field, South Africa is now officially the 5th best athletics country in the world behind the USA, Kenya, Jamaica and China.
