Probe to uncover what led to Lagos building collapse─── 12:58 Mon, 29 Sep 2014
The Nigeria Labour Congress says it is up to a professional and transparent probe to uncover what led to the recent fatal collapse of a guest house at the Synagogue Church of All Nations in Lagos in Nigeria.
The Nigeria Labour Congress spokesperson, Benson Upah, says the probe will put to rest all speculations while similar tragedies can also be prevented.
According to Upah around 115 people were killed and dozens trapped when the multi-storey guest house attached to the church collapsed more than two weeks ago.
The South African government yesterday said the number of South Africans killed in the tragedy had been revised from 84 to 80 because four of the remains were not South Africans.
A total of 62 of the South African deceased have already been identified.
