Congo declares itself free of Ebola─── 07:51 Sun, 16 Nov 2014
Kigali - The government of the Democratic Republic of Congo is free of the Ebola virus, which killed at least 49 people there during a three-month outbreak.
According to their Health Ministry, no new cases have been registered since October 4 but the department warned that the end of the epidemic does not mean that they country is completely out of danger and that the threat remains until the continent is clear.
The outbreak in Congo involved a different strain of Ebola from the one that has claimed more than 5,000 lives in West Africa.
