statement from the Zimbabwe Parks and Wildlife Authority read.
The leopard was shot dead in the incident last Wednesday at Mkanga, a national parks field station in the Chewore Safari Area. There were no further details.
Leopard attacks are occasionally reported in Zimbabwe. In February a 24-year-old man was saved by his dogs after he was attacked by a leopard in Bulilima, southern Zimbabwe.
