Bloemfontein Celtic coach will be without coach, Ernst Middendorp, for a few days as he will be in Germany to finalise his coaching licence.

Celtic CEO, Khumbulani Konco, has confirmed that the coach will return to his native Germany after the team’s friendly matches scheduled in Gauteng on Saturday.

Middendorp will attend the FIFA run course in Mannheim for three days and will be back in the country on Thursday.

He said in the past it was easy to do the course pre-2010, because it was organised by CAF, and it was as simple as attending in Johannesburg.

In Middendorp’s absence, assistant coaches, Fadlu Davids and Lehlohonolo Seema will be in charge of the side until he returns.

The new chairman, Max Tshabalala, regards Middendorp as one of the top coaches because of his qualification, adding that it is the highest coaching qualification in the world.

Phunya Sele Sele play Wits on 1 August and will get their 2014/15 Premier Soccer League campaign underway the following weekend when they host Black Aces at the Free State Stadium.
