Injured batsman, JP Duminy, is optimistic of making a resurgent comeback, following surgery to his left Achilles’ tendon.  The injury will keep him on the sidelines for the next four to six months.

Duminy says the injury is a setback for him, but that he remains positive.

Meanwhile, Chevrolet Knights captain, Dean Elgar, says he is looking to make the most of the opportunity to join the Proteas in Australia as Duminy’s replacement.

Cricket South Africa announced yesterday (Sunday) that Elgar has been selected to replace Duminy in the test side.

Elgar says the call-up to the squad has been quite unexpected.
