Bloemfontein - The Mumbai Indians have kept their IPL play-off hopes alive with a 7 wicket win over the on fire Kings XI Punjab.
West Indies star Lendl Simmons, the son of Windies great Phil Simmons, notched up the first ton of the 2014 tournament to steer his side home.
Punjab were restricted to 156/8 off their allotted 20 overs, with in form Glen Maxwell failing with the willow after scoring just 2 runs.
In the Mumbai innings, Simmons score a 100 not out off just 61 deliveries in a knock which included 14 fours and 2 sixes.
The home side scored the winning runs in Mohali in 19 overs.
