Bloemfontein - The Kolkata Knight Riders have qualified for the final of the Indian Premier League, after stunning the Kings XI Punjab by 28 runs.
The Qualifier finally got underway yesterday after it had been postponed a day due to inclement weather in the Kolkata region.
The home side were the first to bat and scored 163 for eight off their allotted 20 overs, with Robin Uthappa, top scoring with 42 off 30 deliveries.
The team of the Punjab were in their turn restricted to 135 for eight off their allotted 20 overs, with only, Wriddhiman Saha, troubling the scorers with a knock of 35 runs.
Kolkata faces the winner of tomorrow qualifier between the Chennai Super Kings and Punjab.
