Bloemfontein - Proteas batsman, Hashim Amla completed back-to-back centuries but still found himself on the losing side as Sri Lanka beat South Africa by 87 runs in the second ODI.

The win for the home side sees the three match series levelled at one a piece.

Amla was the only Proteas batman who was able to keep the scoreboard ticking as the top and middle orders collapsed.

Sri Lankan all-rounder, Tillekeratne Dilshan, starred for the home side by scoring 86 runs off 90 balls and then took 3/40 in his 10 overs including the key wickets of AB de Villiers and David Miller.

Captain AB de Villiers said they are disappointed with the loss, however will attempt to set the record straight in the final ODI.

The third and final ODI will be played in Hambantota on Saturday.
