It's one versus two this morning in Harare─── 09:49 Wed, 27 Aug 2014
It’s one versus two this morning when South Africa and Australia lock-horns at the Harare Sports Club in the triangular ODI-Series.
Australia go into todays match coming off the back of a massive 198 run win against Zimbabwe, while South Africa took a few days away from the game after their 3-0 series win over the hosts.
The Australians are the masters of sledging and Proteas captain, AB de Villiers said and it’s doesn’t worry the South Africans as it’s part of the game.
“It was a hard fought series back in South Africa, there are no hard feelings,” De Villiers said of the sledging.
“We don’t expect anything less when we play Australia or any of the top teams in the world, it’s always a tough series. Personally for myself as a batter, I don’t mind the sledging, I enjoy the challenge. Facing some of the best bowlers in the world is a huge privilege and I’m expecting to see more of that in this series.
“In the same breath we are also here to win,” he added.
“We will do whatever it takes to win the series," the skipper concluded.
The Aussies will be without the services of captain Michael Clarke, who is still carrying a hamstring strain he picked up during training.
This morning’s match gets underway at 9:30.
