The Chevrolet Knights are backing their depth as they take on the Lions today in the Sunfoil Series in Potchefstroom.
The side are without the services of vice-captain Pite van Biljon and Proteas ODI batsman, Rilee Rossouw.
Patrick Botha and Obus Pienaar replace the due in the 13-man squad and coach Sarel Cilliers backs their form.
Cilliers told OFM Sport that the pair along with Tumelo Bodibe have been scoring runs.
“All of them had good performances over the preseason.
“Obus batted well, he scored a couple of 50 not outs, Tumelo Bodibe comes of a couple of fifties and a 90 odd.
“Patrick made 150 on Friday in a practice game for Rudi Steyns’ side,” said the coach about this three batsman.
All these guys are in form and have been batting well, so it’s just a case of adapting to the next level and getting in,” Cilliers concluded.
This morning’s match at Senwes Park gets underway from 10:00.
