Rain saves the Dolphins and frustrates the Knights | News Article

The Chevrolet Knights were left frustrated in Durban last night after having to share points with the Dolphins in their RamSlamT20 clash.

A brilliant bowling display by the Knights led by West Indies import, Andre Russell with figures of 18 for 4 saw the home side being dismissed for 82 runs, which is their lowest ever score in T20 cricket.

Russell had struck three times in his first seven deliveries and the Dolphins had collapsed to 12 for five and then 28 for six, before Khaya Zondo (33) and Keshav Maharaj (19) became the only batsmen to reach double figures.

Before a ball was bowled in the Knights innings, the heavens opened up and the bucketing rain brought a premature end to what would have been a thrilling run chase.

The Knights remain in second on the log on 17 points, five behind the Lions who have a game in hand.

In yesterdays’ two other games of the triple-header, the Cape Cobras beat the Titans by 4 runs, while the Lions beat the Warriors by six wickets.

The Knights next face the Warriors at Buffalo Park in East London on Friday evening.

On Sunday 30 November the triple-header comes to the City of Roses with the Dolphins up against the Lions at 10:00 at Chevrolet Park.

This will be followed by the Warriors squaring up against the Titans in the bottom-of-the-log clash at 14:00, before Knights face the ever difficult Cape Cobras at 18:00 in the final match of the day.
