The Proteas are on the verge of a two-nil test series win against the West Indies in Cape Town thanks to an outstanding bowling efforts by spinner Simon Harmer and the fiery Dale Steyn.
Play on the fourth day got underway at three o’clock in the afternoon after rain in the Mother City made play impossible during the morning and early afternoon sessions.
The Windies resumed their overnight score on 88 for two however soon lost the wicket of Leon Johnson to Morne Morkel early on.
A huge batting collapse saw the Windies lose their last seven wickets for just 33 runs with Harmer returning figures of 82 for 4 and Dale Steyn taking 75 for 3.
At stumps South Africa were on 9 for one after opener Alviro Peterson lost his wicket for a duck.
