No need for Mental coach | News Article
Expectations could be a major de-railer for the Proteas at the 2015 ICC Cricket World Cup which gets underway next week.

South Africa will go into the tournament seen as favourites to win their first ever World Cup, despite Australia going into the showpiece ranked as number one.

Proteas coach Russell Domingo is confident that his side can go all the way this year and he feels that all the building blocks are in place.

The team travelled to Australasia for the first time without a mental coach in the touring part and Domingo thinks it’s not necessary.

I’ve tried to approache this World Cup like any other series, and we’ve been playing really good cricket without the services of a mental coach”, Domingo added.

South Africa face Sri Lanka on Monday at Hagley Park in Christchurch in a warm-up match.

The Proteas open their campaigner against Zimbabwe at Heddon Park in Hamilton on Sunday, 15 February.
