Proteas spinner, Imran Thair has risen to a career-high of 2nd in the latest One-Day International rankings for bowlers.

Australia’s Mitchell Starc who along with New Zealand’s Trent Boult was the joint leading wicket taker at the recent Cricket World Cup with 22 scalps apiece, has climbed to number one in the rankings.
 
Boult has also made gains in the latest rankings following his excellent run in the tournament.
 
The left-arm fast bowler has shot nine places to jump to career-high sixth position, which he shares with another left-arm quick, Mitchell Johnson of Australia.
 
Tahir had started the World Cup in 11th position and has surged nine places, thanks to his 15 wickets in eight matches.
 
Proteas team-mate, Dale Steyn, has dropped two spots to fourth, while Morné Morkel has risen one spot to ninth.
