AB's effort in vain as Hyderabad wins─── 08:55 Tue, 14 Apr 2015
Australian opening batsman, David Warner led the charger last night as the Sundrisers Hyderabad hammered the Royal Challengers Bangalore by 8 wickets in the Indian Premier League.
Hyderabad chased down the 167 run target set by RCB with 16 balls to spare thanks to 57 by Warner and 50 not out by Shikhar Dharwan for an 82-run opening partnership.
Proteas captain AB de Villiers was the top RCB batsman with 46, Virat Kohli notched up 41, while Chris Gayles 21 was the only other significant score.
Trent Boult was the pick of the Sunrisers bowlers with 3 for 36, while Ravi Bopara and Bhuv-nesh-war Kumar took two scalps a piece.
Warner said poor bowling by RCB made their job with the bat a lot easier…
Today the Rajasthan Royal and Mumbai Indians face each other in Ahmedabad.
