Hudders innings coming to an end?─── 16:31 Wed, 15 Apr 2015
Former Proteas opening batsman, Andrew Hudson’s tenure as the national convenor of selectors may very well be a thing of the past.
Hudson and the other three members of his selection panel Shafiek Abrahams, Hussein Manack and Linda Zondi’s contracts with Cricket South Africa all expired at the end of the 2015 ICC Cricket World Cup.
Provincial union CEO's and presidents have been informed that they must vote for a new selection panel, with the deadline for nominations on 30 April.
The panel however can be re-appointed if there are voted in for another term in office, but early reports are indication that Hudson is on his way out, while Abrahams, Manack and Zondi will remain on the panel.
The name of former Proteas batsman Ashwell Prince has been mentioned as possible replacement for Hudson, with Manack as the contender to take over the convenor of selectors role.
