Hudson resigns as convenor of selectors─── 08:33 Thu, 23 Apr 2015
Former Proteas and Natal opening batsman, Andrew Hudson has resigned from his role as the convenor of selectors for the national cricket team.
The 50-year-old Hudson has made himself unavailable for re-election after it was early said that he would not be elected for another tenure in office.
The contracts of all four panel members, with the other being Shafiek Abrahams, Hussein Manack and Linda Zondi came to an end after this year's Cricket World Cup in March.
The provincial union's CEOs and presidents were informed that they must vote for a new selection panel, with the deadline for nominations being 30 April.
Hudson sited family reasons and well as wanting to focus on his career as a banker as the reasons for his decision.
Earlier it was also said that Abrahams, Manack and Zondi would all be re-relected, while former Proteas batsman, Ashwell Prince could be voted onto the panel.
