The Proteas cricket team will be hoping to the put the disappointment of losing in the semi-final of the Cricket World Cup behind them when they face Bangladesh today.

In their first match after the World Cup, South Africa are will be looking for a good start to their three-match One Day International series against the in-form and confident hosts.
 
Recently the Tigers beat neighbours India in a series and looking for build on that form.
 
Star batsman’s Hashim Amla who will captain the side in the absence of AB de Villiers feels despite not playing any ODI cricket since march, the team are well prepared.
 
"I have been fortunate to get some runs against Bangladesh and having played here as well I’ve got used to the conditions quite quickly. We will draw on that experience to take us through this series.
 
"It’s also helps that the T20 guys did extremely well and for the rest of the team they come with some confidence as well as experiences they can take into this series.
 
The humble master of the willow added that their opponents will be a totally different kettle of fish in the 50-over format.
 
This morning’s match are the Shar-e Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur gets underway at 11:00.
