Bangladesh crush SA by 9 wickets for series win | News Article

The Proteas crashed to a humiliating series defeat against Bangladesh after losing the third and final One Day International by nine wickets.

The South African’s were only able to score 168 for nine in their allotted 40 overs in Chittagong, after the top order once against failed with the bat.
 
Only JP Duminy and David Miller were able to trouble the scorers with 51 and 44 runs respectively.
 
The Bangladeshi top order had no trouble whatsoever in chasing down the low target with 83 balls to spare, thanks to 90 by Soumya Sarkar and 61 not out by Tamim Iqbal.
 
Imran Tahir claimed South Africa’s sole wicket when he had Sarkar caught by Hashim Amla.
 
Duminy says the will need to reevaluate themselves and iron out their problems before they return to the subcontinent late this year to face India.
 
This was the Tigers third straight ODI series win after beating in Pakistan and India as well.
 
The first Test gets underway in Chittagong 21 July.
