Proteas clinch T20 series in India─── 08:33 Tue, 06 Oct 2015
The Proteas have clinched the three-match T20 International series against India by winning yesterday’s 2nd match played in Cattuck.
South Africa won the match by 6 wickets last night after winning the toss and bowling India for 92 runs in 17.2 overs.
Albie Morkel was the pick of the Proteas bowlers and returned figures of 3 for 12 in his 4 overs to lead the South African charge.
Imran Tahir and Chris Morris each claimed two scalps in their turn while Kagiso Rabada took one wicket.
JP Duminy once again led South Africa’s runs chase with his unbeaten knock of 30 runs, while AB de Villiers score 19 and captain Faf du Plessis added 16 took the score.
The match was interrupted several times by the unruly crowd who threw bottles onto the field, and Du Plessis says it’s not something that belongs in the sport and it had an effect on the games intensity.
The third and final T20 International will be played in Kolkata on Thursday
