Its 100 not out for Ma’a Nonu as the World Champions get ready to face Tonga tonight in Pool C, Springbok prop, Frans Malherbe gets cleared of tucking into Matt Trouville and the Aussies are wary of the massive Welsh midfield combination.

This evening it’s all-our war in the North East of England when the two challenges will be met when the Haka gets answered with the Sipi Tau in Newcastle.

The All Blacks square-off against ?Ikale Tahi for just the fourth time in the two countries history, with the men from the Land of the Long White Cloud leading the head-to-head battle 4-0 and the tries count 39-2.

Kiwi skipper, Richie McCaw will be watching the match from the side lines at St James’ Park and coach Steve Hansen says had it been a final he would have fielded the influential flanker.

Centre, Ma’a Nonu becomes the latest centurion to don the famous black jersey.

While the midfielder is trying to shy away from the attention, he says he deeply honoured and privileged to be playing for the team.

Nonu added that he draws inspiration from his captain McCaw and flyhalf Dan Carter.

A win for the All Blacks tonight will see the World Champions secure the top spot in Pool C and face the winner between Ireland and France in quarter-finals and it will also ensure that Georgia gains automatic qualification to the 2019 Rugby World Cup in Japan.

Tonight’s match in Newcastle kicks off at 21:00.

Meanwhile in London, Springbok prop, Frans Malherbe has been clear of biting allegations levelled against his by an English tabloid.

Malherbe is said to have bitten American lock, Matt Trouville during the Springboks 64-0 thrashing of the USA on Wednesday.

Springbok team manager, Ian Schwartz says the allegations are disruptive and upset the team.

The manager added that Malherbe was shocked when he was informed of the allegations.

The Springboks will next face the winner of tomorrow night’s Pool A clash between Wales and the Wallabies on 19 October at Twickenham in the quarter-finals.

Wales have name a massive midfield combination with Jamie Roberts and George North partnering up in the centres.

One of the Wallabies three changes for the clash will see Drew Mitchell running out for his 67th Test and he warns that Roberts and North are a serious threat.

Tomorrow nights’ massive match at Twickenham in the English capital kicks off 17:45.

And that’s it for now…tune into OFM every week morning at 8:30am and afternoon 5:30pm for an in-depth look in to the World Cup.
