Fourteen-time major winner Tiger Woods may make an appearance that this year’s Masters which tees-off in just over a week at the iconic Augusta National in Georgia.

The was excited after the former world number one’s airplane was spotted at the Augusta Regional Airport, however it has been confirmed that Woods played an 18-hole practice round at the Bobby Jones and Alister MacKenzie designed course.
 
Woods has played in a PGA event since withdrawing from Torrey Pines on 5 February after 11-holes due to back pain.
 
The four-time Masters winner missed the majority of last season due to surgery to repair a pinched nerve in his back.
 
Woods has not won a major since the 2008 US Open with his last Masters win 10 years ago, eight years after his record-setting first major crown in 1997.
 
Two-time winner, Bubba Watson is the defending champion at Augusta.
 
The Masters tees off on Thursday 9 April and runs until the 12th.
