World number one, Rory McIlroy is locked and loaded for his title defence of the BMW PGA Championship at the Wentworth.

The Northern Irishman’s win a the tournament last year kicked started his great year which saw him claim the number one status, with the Open Championship and US PGA Championship as well as the Ryder Cup with Team Europe at Gleneagles.
 
McIlroy who the Players Championship at TPC Sawgrass a fortnight ago said is well rested going into the European Tour’s flagship event and is feeling fresh for his title defence.
 
He added that his win at the iconic course in the English capital definitely setup his strong year.
 
McIlroy tees-off at 10:35 this morning along with Jamie Donaldson and Martin Kaymer.
 
At 9:30 South Africa’s Thomas tees-off with Felipe Aguilar and Chris Wood, at 10:00 George Coetzee gets underway with Kiradech Aphibarnrat and Anirban Lahiri.
 
10:15 It’s the turn of the Big Easy Ernie Els, France’s Victor Dubuisson and the spaceman Andy Sullivan, while Brandon Grace comes up against Padraig Harrington and Shane Lowry at 14:40.
