Tiger not too worried about swing at Chambers Bay | News Article

Fourteen-time major winner and former world number one, Tiger Woods is not too concerned about his swing ahead of the US Open which tees-off at the Chambers Bay later today.

Woods has plummeted down the official world rankings after missing the majority of last season due to a pinched nerve in his back which led to surgery.

Now ranked 195th in the Woods will be looking to make a statement this week at the Open which he has won three-times before.

His win in 2008 at Torrey Pines was also his last major win.

After recovering from his surgery, Woods and his coach Sean Foley started implementing a new swing and the 39-year-old said he accepts that it takes patience.

World number one Rory McIlroy and 2015 Masters champions, Jordaan Spieth are the two major draw cards for the Open at the beautiful links layout at University Place.

Woods tees-off alongside his compatriot Rickey Fowler and South Africa’s Louis Oosthuizen.

George Coetzee tees-up against Alex Noren and Kevin Kisner.

Brandon Grace is in a group with Brendon Todd and Thongchai Jaidee, while in what is sure to be a great three-ball to watch we will see the Big Easy Ernie Els, The Goose Retief Goosen and Australia’s Geoff Oglivy square up.
