The Proteas are looking to use their tour to Bangladesh for a fresh start after their ICC Cricket World Cup disappointment earlier this year.

The Proteas were heavily tipped to win the World Cup in Australia and New Zealand, however, they stumbled in the semi-finals against the Black Caps.
 
It South Africa’s first series after the World Cup and the fairly new-look squad are expected to fresh for the tour to the subcontinent.
 
Coach Russell Domingo expects the new players in the squad to bring a new energy.
 
"It is our first series after the World Cup so our players are coming nice and fresh over the World Cup disappointment.
 
The coach added that South Africa have a good record on the subcontinent and expects his side to do well.
 
"I think South Africa's record in the subcontinent has been good in the recent past. We won against Sri Lanka. We won a series against India recently.
 
The reasonably short series will see the men in green-and-gold feature in a two T20 Internationals, three ODI’s and two Tests.
 
The action gets underway on Sunday afternoon then they take on the confident Tigers in the first T20 International.
 
The match in Mirpur gets underway at 14:00.
