Justin Thomas of the USA scored a hole-in-one yesterday during the opening round of the Greenbrier Classic at the The Old White TPC in West Virginia.
While it was the second ace of the day on the 18th after George McNeill scored one earlier in the round, Thomas’ left the hundreds of fans cheering and smiling.
The ace meant that everyone in the stands walked away $500 dollars richer courtesy of Greenbrier owner Jim Justice.
However, it didn’t end there…it also meant that two lucky fans in the stands received a full years’ worth of mortgage payments from Quicken Loans.
McNeill also aced the 18th hole at The Old White TPC in the final round of the last year's Greenbrier Classic on the way to finishing second.
Thomas finished his round on three under par 67, Scott Langley leads on 8 under par 62.
Former World Number One and 14-time major champion, Tiger Woods shot a round on 4 under par 66.
