Giraffe dead after its head hit overhead bridge─── 17:47 Thu, 31 Jul 2014
Garsfontein - One of two giraffe being transported on the back of a truck, reportedly from Johannesburg to a game farm on the other side of Pretoria, was killed when its head hit an overhead bridge.
Andrew Kekana, an inspector with the Tshwane SPCA says it's a "miracle" the other giraffe survived.
He says they will decide on any further action regarding the incident at a later stage.
