Lovers' quarrel ends with Valentine’s murder in Welkom─── CHRISTAL-LIZE MULLER 11:23 Tue, 17 Feb 2015
Welkom - A 18-year-old woman from Thabong in Welkom is expected to appear in the city's Magistrate's Court next week in connection with the murder of her 23-year-old boyfriend on Valentine’s Day.
Free State police spokesperson, Mamello Mokhuoane, says Thando Lushaba appeared in court on Monday after she allegedly stabbed her boyfriend once in the chest. He later died at a local hospital.
Mokhuoane says the couple had a lovers' quarrel.
The case against Lushaba was postponed to February 24 for a formal bail application.
Mokhuoane says the name of the deceased has not yet been released as his next of kin still needs to be informed.
