Johannesburg - A locally produced and filmed movie, For Love and Broken Bones, has won the best film award at the Portland Film Festival.
This is a first for a South African movie to win the Portland Film festival’s best film award.
According to SA Breaking news the film had its opening premiere at the LA Film Festival in June and it has been selected for screening at the New York City Independent Film Festival this month.
Meanwhile, ‘Ayanda’, another local film, has attracted a global audience and has won the Special Jury Prize at the LA Film Festival.
The movie will be screened at the Cambridge African Festival (CAFF) later this month.
