Ireland has made it two from two when they beat the United Arab Emirates by 2 wickets earlier today in a nail-biter at the World Cup.

The side from the Gulf State posted a formidable 278 for 9 after being asked to bat first by the Irish.
 
Shaiman Anwar was the star with the bat in scoring 106 to lead the Hawks of Quraish to the score.
 
The Irish got off to a very slow start with the bat and gradually accelerated their run rate to reach the required target with just 4 balls to spare.
 
Wicketkeeper batsman, Gary Wilson who top scored for the side with 80 runs said that this match was close, but they knew they could chase down the total.
 
Tomorrow Scotland and Afghanistan face each other at the University Oval in Dunedin.
 
While these two teams aren’t the best in the competition they match should provide thrilling view the two sides at pretty much the same strength.
 
The Scots were the top qualifiers of the associate nations, while the spirited Afghanis are playing in their first tournament.
